DIY Water Color Notecards

Feb 23, 2015

It’s so nice to have pretty notecards on hand when you want to pop a friend a note or send off a thank you card in the mail. I recently wanted to spruce up some blank note cards I had, so I decided to use watercolor paints to give them a special touch.

DIY Water Color Notecards

Making your own greeting cards is not only easy, but it’s also a fun activity to do with your children! To start, gather watercolor paints, paint brushes, and a few blank note cards. Next, paint the cards with unique designs. I played around creating stripes that had different widths. I also painted words like “hello” and “thanks” on the front of the cards. You can really be as creative as you’d like. There’s not a wrong way to create these!

You could also make a set for a friend and give them as a gift. Once your paint has dried, stack them up, bundle with some twine and add a few pens or pencils to make the gift complete.

What special notes would you write on your greeting cards? What else would you use them for?

There are note cards just made for artists. They are folded plain white watercolor paper with matching envelopes. Say a thanks they can feel.
