Cool Down: Triple Berry Slushy

Healthy and refreshing, this recipe for a “Triple Berry Slushy” is made with sweet summertime ingredients including blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. I have been making these slushies for my children every summer, as they are the perfect cool-down alternative to ice cream. Simply prepare this recipe like you would a smoothie, mixing all the ingredients together. Then, freeze for at least two hours before serving.

Enjoy this summer dessert after lunch, dinner or as an afternoon snack. If you have leftover berries store them in Ziploc® Brand Freezer Bags. They are terrific addition to smoothies, punch, sorbets, sherbet and even cobblers.

Triple Berry Slushy

Prep: 10 minutes 


1 cup fresh blackberries
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, stemmed
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1/4 cup skim or almond milk
1 teaspoon local honey


In blender combine all ingredients. Process as directed until smooth. Freeze at least 2 hours and serve.
