Springtime is my second favorite season. I love winter the most, but spring definitely has my heart. With the fresh air, cool breeze, blooming flowers, bright colors, my anniversary, and the birth date of my little girl, it’s easy to see why it’s so dear to me! Spring may be a very short season around here in Southern California, but we plan to make the most of it by spending lots of time outdoors.

To welcome and celebrate spring into our home, we have made a fun balloon flower garland using white balloons and faux spring flower blooms that you can find at your local craft store.

Materials

Balloons (any color works but I used white)
Faux spring greenery & flowers
Glue gun & glue sticks
Baker’s twine

Materials for spring garland

Instructions

Cut a long strip of twine to the desired length. It's best if you tie the strip of twine to a ceiling fan or top of a bookshelf, or place it in an area with enough space so you can properly place the balloons.

Blow up the balloons about 1/3 of the way full and tie a knot.

Tie the balloons to the twine (this will help the balloons last longer). I used about 13 balloons to make a 20-inch Garland.

Cut flowers about 3 inches from the stem.

Attaching the flowers

Using the hot glue gun, glue pieces of greenery stems to the twine in between the balloons. After, hot glue flowers in a random order around the faux greenery.

Now, you are all set to decorate your home with this fun, unique spring garland. I have been obsessing about using balloons and flowers so making this garland has been one of my favorite crafts so far. It's a perfect decoration for parties, special occasions and even just to welcome a new season. Get your favorite colored balloons, spring flowers, glue gun and get crafting!
