Plan a Party in a Snap

Deciding to host a party always seems like a fun idea, but once we get into the thick of planning  it can feel more overwhelming and stressful than fun. Luckily, these apps will help you streamline your to-do lists and manage all aspects of the planning process to (hopefully) make it more enjoyable. Whether you need party food ideas, a way to keep track of your budget, help with flowers, or a way to manage your guest lists, these apps will help simplify the planning process and make you feel like a party planning pro. Download these four apps and you’re one step closer to becoming the “hostess or host with the mostess.”

For Playing Florist

Choosing, finding and arranging flowers can seem a lot easier than it actually is. If you’re not a florist by trade it can definitely be a little overwhelming to find flowers that are in season, or to even identify flowers by their correct name. Flowerwheel App for iTunes is the ultimate guide to find flowers by month, color, photo and name. I really like their full color photos of all the different blooms, and it tells you what seasons they are available which is really helpful.www.flowerwheel.com

For Keeping Details Organized

Parties can have a lot of small details to keep track of. The Pro Party Planner app helps you plan, organize, and manage your event from start to finish. This app does it all–From creating a guest list, to planning the menu, and even setting the mood with the décor.  I love that you can even include tabs with your shopping list and timeline. It has a very minimal cost and will save you time and energy when planning! www.propartyplanner.com/

For Planning Larger Parties

If you find yourself playing professional party planner (hello graduation party or family reunion!), you’re going to need the skills that the pros have. The socialtables event planning app is a free app geared towards event professionals, but will become your new best friend if you’re taking on a large event. You can work on budgets and even develop a room layout including all of your tables. I like how everything is accessible in one place. www.socialtables.com

For DIY Inspiration

If your role goes well beyond party planner and you find yourself searching for recipes for entertaining a crowd, DIY décor ideas and helpful party planning tips, I hope that my own app, Thoughtfully Simple, will help you. You can search my “party food” recipes and browse DIY party décor ideas (for free). https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/thoughtfully-simple/id998570134?mt=8

Hopefully these apps help you put your party-planning-pants on.
