Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing

With summer produce abundant and inexpensive this month, fresh salad will be a staple at many dinner tables. A salad topped with chickpeas, cheese, or another vegetarian protein source also makes a wonderful Meatless Monday dinner that doesn't require you to turn on your stove. Salads taste much better topped with a delicious salad dressing but many traditional salad dressings contain ingredients that are not all natural. Salad dressing can also get to be rather expensive, depending on the brand you buy. It is incredibly easy to make your own salad dressing with only a few simple ingredients. Try this delicious buttermilk ranch dressing on your next salad!

Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing 

Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Recipe

Prep: 10 minutes
Yield: 1 1/2 cups of dressing

**Note: Please adjust below seasoning measurements to your desired taste.

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 tablespoons fresh minced parsley
2 teaspoons fresh minced dill
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon dried onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


Place the mayonnaise, sour cream and buttermilk in a bowl and whisk until combined. Add parsley, dill, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion powder, onion flakes, salt and black pepper into the bowl, stirring gently until all ingredients are combined.

Chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Take out once ready to serve. If mixture is too thick, add additional buttermilk to thin it out a bit.

Drizzle over salad and enjoy!
