I love finding fun ways to reuse products that would otherwise be thrown away or recycled. Toilet paper rolls are just one example of a household item we always have an abundance of. Since so many reuse projects call for toilet paper rolls, you may want to keep extras in a bag under your bathroom sink for the next inspirational project − such as homemade toys or craft projects. Here is my latest toilet paper roll reuse project − an easy DIY desk organizer.

Easy DIY Desk OrganizerHow to Make A DIY Toilet Paper Tube Desk Organizer

Supplies

6 toilet paper tubes
Pretty paper, such as used gift wrapping, magazine pages, or even an old map
School glue and hot glue
Ribbon or twine

Directions

Wrap each toilet paper tube with pretty paper and cut away the extra paper that hangs over the edges (or tuck it into the tube) and glue it down (using school glue).

Assemble your paper covered tubes into a triangle shape. If you used different color papers, arrange them in a way that you find visually appealing. Then hot glue the tubes together into the triangle shape.

Tie with a ribbon, both to support the glue holding the triangle together and for a cute look. You may find it helpful to put a dot of glue under the bow to hold it in place and on the back side as well to keep the ribbon from sagging.

To keep items from falling out from the bottom of the tube, place the organizer on a flat surface table or secure a cardboard-like plate to the bottom.

Fill your DIY toilet paper tube desk organizer with supplies like colored pencils, pencils, pens, and markers. I hope you enjoy making this fun DIY desk organizer and that it helps keep your desk supplies organized and handy.

Do you think you will try making this toilet paper tube desk organizer? Have you tried other toilet paper reuse projects?
