Tracking Real Progess

At SC Johnson, we believe it’s not enough to just talk about diversity. Companies need to establish objectives and track their progress. We do so on a regular basis, and SC Johnson officers receive quarterly scorecards for all their functional groups.

Our Strategy
The objectives we are tracking as part of our Diversity Strategy include:

  1. Ensuring an inclusive culture where SC Johnson’s family values come alive...
    We drive this with enhanced U.S. Business Councils that help SC Johnson build a best-in-class culture, managers who foster an inclusive work environment, and other initiatives.
  2. A workforce made up of the very best people.
    We achieve this by ensuring the array of candidates for open positions reflects available diverse talent in the marketplace. We also continue to invest in people development.
  3. Progress in sharing SC Johnson’s diversity leadership externally.
    We accomplish this through ads and marketing that reflects the diversity of the marketplace, increasing purchases from women- and minority-owned suppliers, and external benchmarks that indicate we’re an employer of choice for diversity.
