There are lots of ways to lower your impact. Use less electricity, since most electricity comes from coal and other fossil fuels. Lower your thermostat, since most furnaces and boilers burn heating oil or natural gas, which emit greenhouse gasses. Also, keep in mind that every pound of trash you throw away will emit almost a pound of carbon dioxide equivalent in the form of methane. That adds up! So reuse and recycle.
