Holiday Gift Idea: Peppermint Coffee Creamer | Family Economics
By Tori Tait
The holiday season brings many chilly mornings and even more opportunities to cozy up with a hot cup of coffee. One of my favorite additions to a freshly brewed coffee is a great creamer. What better way to enjoy the season than with a mug full of holiday flavor?
This peppermint coffee creamer adds that beloved minty flavor to your favorite morning (or evening) coffee. Make two batches – one for you and one to share with a friend or neighbor. It’s really simple (and inexpensive) to make.
Pour ingredients into a mason jar or other container, tie a ribbon around it and you have a great holiday gift! Create a DIY gift basket by combining the creamer with coffee and box of biscotti’s.
Peppermint Coffee Creamer
Prep: 5 minutes
Yield: Approximately 1 1/2 cups
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup milk (whole milk is best but you can use any kind)
4 tablespoons pure maple syrup
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
Combine all ingredients and refrigerate until ready to use.
What other DIY gifts will you hand out this holiday season? I’d love to hear your creative ideas in the comments section below!
