A Creative Gift Wrap Idea | Family Economics
By Tori Tait
Gifting your loved ones with money or a gift card can sometimes feel very impersonal. However, if you put some thought into how you present your gift, it can make all the difference. Instead of just handing the recipient a card with some cash, consider taking a few moments to wrap the gift up in a unique and special way. To help spark your creativity, I’ve come up with this fun and simple giftwrapping idea your recipients are sure to love. The best part about this gift wrap idea is that it can be done with things you already have laying around the house!
Toilet paper roll (you can also cut a paper towel roll in half)
Ribbon, yarn, or string
Paper and a hole punch
Pen or marker
Place the gift inside of the toilet paper roll. Wrap the tissue paper around the roll, leaving about 2-3 inches overhang on each side. Gently pinch and twist the ends gathering the paper on each side and secure by tying the ribbon into a bow. On a piece of paper, write the recipient’s name. Punch a hole in the paper and attach to the gift using a small piece of string.
