3 Fun Food Gifts for Dad | Family Economics
By Tori Tait
Father’s Day is right around the corner and I’ve been looking around for something creative to help my girls make for their dad this year. Inspired by the fact that he likes all things “food” (from cooking to enjoying yummy desserts), we decided that making him something food-related would be a great idea. Here are three of our favorite Father’s Day DIY treats we discovered.
1. If Dad likes to grill, this idea is a great gift for him! I recently spotted these DIY spice rubs over on the “Delishsis” blog and knew right away that this would make a great Father’s Day project for my girls. My husband loves to grill (rain or shine!) and he always seems to be experimenting with new flavors. You can really personalize this idea to suit Dads tastes, which makes it even more thoughtful.
2. If you’re looking for a really simple idea, check out these Father’s Day food labels I found on “Martha Stewart.” You can pick up Dad’s favorite snacks, put these labels on and you have a fun gift to give him. Make a few different items, place altogether in a gift basket and you’ve got yourself one thoughtful gift.
3. If Dad has a sweet tooth, you can’t go wrong with this last idea. This Candy jar and tie template would be a super fun craft to put together with the kids. I discovered it on the “Creatively Christy” blog and once I showed the idea to my daughters, they were really excited to make one for dad.
These are just a few fun Father’s Day gift ideas we came across. I’d love to hear other ideas you and your loved ones came up with! Please share them in the comments section below!
