Last-Minute Gift Coupons | Family Economics
By Cathe
Sometimes it’s hard to find just the right gift for that special someone, and sometimes you just run out of time! In a pinch, you can print out customized gift coupons in lieu of a store-bought present.
Gift coupons can be written to promise favors, chores, projects, handi-work, dinner, lunch, baby-sitting, a movie, or pretty much anything you want.
I’ve designed some printable coupons that you can print and bind into coupon books, or trim and give individually. You can print them on white or colored paper. Use card stock such as a manila folder to neatly bind your coupon book. You can find detailed instructions on making a coupon book in a post I created for children’s pretend checkbooks here.
If you’re feeling crafty, add a cover to your book using colorful scrapbook paper. Fill out the coupon(s) and add the current date and expiration date, if applicable. Wrap the coupon book or place into a standard-sized envelope.
These gift coupons are made to use not only at Christmas time but year-round for any holiday, birthday or just because. They are great for grandparents, spouses, children, teachers and co-workers.
