A Family Company

SC Johnson has been a family company, led by the Johnson family, for more than 125 years. As a family company, SC Johnson is always thinking about the families who use its products today, and the future generations affected by its choices for tomorrow.  

Started in 1886 by Samuel Curtis Johnson in Racine, Wisconsin, SC Johnson today is a global company that employs nearly 13,000 people and sells products in virtually every country around the world. It is still headquartered in the Johnson family’s hometown of Racine.

Family Leadership

Five generations of the Johnson family have led SC Johnson. The company’s current Chairman and CEO, Fisk Johnson, is the great-great-grandson of the founder. Fisk joined the company in 1987 and has been Chairman since 2000.
