Ranking seventh on the list of top 10, SC Johnson is commended for its support of people with disabilities. The company has three support groups for its people with disabilities: Abilities First Business Council, Elder Care Giver Support Group and Parents of Special Needs Children Support Group. Earlier this year, DiversityInc named SC Johnson to the 2010 Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list.
DiversityInc analyzed 449 participants from the 2010 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list for criteria that includes: recruiting programs for people with disabilities; work/life and other accommodation benefits; diversity-awareness training that addresses people with disabilities; employee-resource groups for people with disabilities and/or caregivers; and communications that feature employees with disabilities.
All the participants on this year’s list offer dependent-care benefits (including childcare and eldercare), offers at least one resource group for employees with disabilities and features images and/or video of people with disabilities on their corporate web sites.
