SC Johnson Named to 2016 Working Mother Magazine 100 Best Companies

Company Honored for the 28th Time for Programs that Support Working Parents

SC Johnson named one of the 100 Best Companies by Working Mother magazine.
For the 28th year, SC Johnson has been recognized for programs supporting working parents.

RACINE, Wis., (September 27, 2016) – Today, SC Johnson was named one of the 100 Best Companies by Working Mother magazine. 2016 marks the 28th year SC Johnson has been recognized on this prestigious list by Working Mother magazine for creating programs and benefits that support working parents.

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, in 2016 75 percent of mothers and 95 percent of fathers work full time. With American families facing increased economic pressures, it can become difficult to manage the responsibilities of both parenting and work. SC Johnson continues to provide families with a variety of benefits to better meet the needs of working parents, including a Childcare Learning Center, flexible work schedules, generous maternity, paternity and adoption leave, and a recreational center.

“As a family company, being recognized by Working Mother magazine is a huge honor for SC Johnson,” said Fisk Johnson, Chairman and CEO of SC Johnson. “Earning a place as a best company for working parents is a special reflection of our company’s values and how we are inspired by family in everything we do.”

Subha Barry, Vice President and General Manager of Working Mother Media, says, “This year’s class of winning companies goes the extra mile to support working moms and all diverse families. In 2016, fully paid leave offerings have grown to an average of 9 weeks, up from 8 last year. The Working Mother Magazine 100 Best Companies continues to pave the way for employers nationwide to support their employees, both personally and professionally.”

Working Mother magazine will showcase the selected companies at this year’s Work Life Congress from October 17-18 in New York City. The complete list of the 2016 Working Mother Magazine 100 Best Companies can be found here.

In addition to this latest award, in 2016, SC Johnson received Best Workplace recognition's from the Great Place to Work® Institute in Brazil, the U.K., Nigeria, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Venezuela, Central America, Poland and Latin America. In 2015, SC Johnson received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index.
