Statement by Kelly M. Semrau, Spokesperson for SC Johnson

"SC Johnson is very pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with The Clorox Company regarding their former employee Tim Bailey, whom SC Johnson hired.  Tim has been the Senior Vice President of Global Product Supply for SC Johnson since starting with the company on May 6, 2009.  This agreement puts an end to the current litigation.  

While the parties have agreed to keep the specific terms of the agreement confidential, the limited and temporary restrictions in the agreement are reasonable, are consistent with limited restrictions SC Johnson had in place prior to the settlement and are terms SC Johnson would have accepted if Clorox had simply addressed the matter with us or Tim directly without resorting to litigation.

At SC Johnson we hold integrity above everything else. In fact, Tim’s high integrity, along with his nearly 25 years of product supply experience with multiple organizations, is what made him such an attractive candidate for SC Johnson. We are delighted we can put this behind us."
