Ziploc® Brand Helps Bring a Chaos-Free Holiday to Travelers across the Country

Brand surprises unsuspecting drivers as tolls are swapped for holiday gifts

Ziploc

RACINE, Wis., December 11, 2015 ― The holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year. Gifts are perfectly wrapped, cakes and cookies are baking in the oven, and people across the country are making final preparations to visit their loved loves. In fact, Americans spent an average of 7.3 hours and $560 on holiday travel alone last year*, which can also lead to chaos, stress and precious time spent in busy airports and jam-packed highways. That’s why Ziploc® brand is offering a variety of festive products, a surprise-and-delight experience and helpful tips to give travelers a chaos-free holiday.

When hundreds of people along the Ohio Turnpike got to the tollbooth at Mile Marker 71 before their Thanksgiving celebrations began, they were surprised that instead of being asked for the toll, they received an array of gifts—from snacks packed in Ziploc® brand bags and containers to a chauffeured limo ride home.

The resulting video reveals how the gifts came from Ziploc® brand to remind people that holiday chaos can be easily managed for better travels and more fun.

Ziploc® brand is also providing travelers, whether on the road or in the air, with ways to make their trips a little less hectic:

1.    Always pack children’s items last. From diapers and snacks to toys and toiletries, children’s needs are often more urgent, so their items should always be accessible – not buried under a pile.

2.    Bring new toys, books and magazines. Buying new books, toys or coloring books that the kids have never seen before will hold their attention throughout the trip. Ziploc® brand bags with Easy Open Tabs help keep everything organized in their travel bag, and are easy to grip and open.

3.    Create memories. Apart from taking photos, there are lots of ways to preserve memories. Buy postcards or snow globes and keep a journal or make a scrapbook.

4.    Snacks on wheels. Munching is a required activity on road trips, but try to keep it healthy. Pre-pack favorite snacks, such as carrots, pretzels or crackers in Ziploc® brand Containers with One Press Seal, available in decorative blue, red, gold and green.
