From Vivian in Texas Asking Where Ziploc is Made
I like the Ziploc bags and would like to know where the bags are made. The box states that there is a U.S. Patent with other patents pending. Does this mean that the Ziploc bags are made in the U.S.A.? Thank you. - Vivian from Texas
Hi there, Vivian in Texas. Yes, we do produce Ziploc® Brand Bags in the United States.
SC Johnson is proud to be a global company with consumers and manufacturing sites around the world. Still, the vast majority of the products you see on U.S. retail shelves are made in the United States.
Our flagship manufacturing facility – known as Waxdale – is located in the United States, not far from our global headquarters in Racine, Wisconsin. At Waxdale we produce millions of cases of product each year, including brands such as Windex®, Scrubbing Bubbles®, OFF!® Oust®, Glade®, Shout®, Pledge®, Drano®, Raid® and fantastik®.
We also have a factory in Bay City, Mich., which produces our Ziploc® Brand products and Saran™ wrap.
The patent pending information refers to where SC Johnson is working to secure product patents rather than where the product is made. Hope that helps!
