Are Drop Ins Safe for Toilet Tanks

"Your Vanish drop in toilet cleaner states it won't hurt plumbing or septic. I just had 3new Koehler toilets installed and there is a sticker inside the tank stating that if an in tank cleaner is used it voids the warranty because they can destroy parts and cause leaks? – J&B"
