SC Johnson® Paste Wax is not recommended for use on butcher block or other surfaces used in food preparation.

There are special products – usually containing mineral oil – made for this particular use. While they are not manufactured by SC Johnson, you can visit your local gourmet shop or hardware store to purchase one of these products.
