I use the scrubbing bubbles toilet bowl cleaning gel. I am very disappointed that the gel doesn't adhere to my toilet bowl. Most of the time It just stretches from the top and I have to use my finger to take it off and put it in the toilet. It also doesn't last very long, maybe 2 or 3 days at the most. On a positive note I do let the smell, I'm just sorry it doesn't work or look as advertised. - Liz from Pittsburgh

It is not clear from your question how you are applying the gel. As you know, the gel is made to be used with the applicator, which comes in two pieces and has to be assembled to dispense the gel properly. It’s possible you don’t have the applicator completely assembled so the gel isn’t being pushed out.  

After assembling, hold down the button while pushing toward the bowl until the button clicks into the next hole. You should be using the applicator to stamp the gel close to the toilet rim.  

The gel is formulated to adhere to the bowl and last at least a week with regular flushing.
