Questions about SC Johnson Products

From Sue about Saran Junior

A few years ago I was lucky enough to find" Saran Junior" wrap in the dollar store. It is advertised as the "Perfect Size For Small Jobs". I have hunted high and low and can't find it anywhere. I'm doing more cooking at home now and trying to be healthy. This means more prep work, more leftovers, more individual portions, and more need for a junior size wrap. I use my favorite ceramic dish wear and many times need to cover the leftovers. Sometimes I prep food in the morning for ease of use at dinnertime. Like cut up stir fry vegetables or fruit for a salad. Today I had leftover salad dressing and wanted to cover the small dish. The Junior Saran wrap worked perfectly. ( Yes, I still have some on the shelf because I am very judicious on how and when I use it! ) If I could find it in the store, I'd use it every day. The Saran Junior is only 7 3/4 inch wide. It protects fresh food in my small bowls, plates, cups and it clings like a dream without all the excess that you have with a standard size cling wrap. Please bring it back or tell me where to find it. I'm not sure how much longer before I reach the dreaded end of the roll. I'll be heartbroken. Sue from Phoenix, Arizona

Nice to hear from you, Sue. And thanks for the question. We did manufacture Saran™ Junior for a short time – but the product was discontinued in 2001. And, while we can’t promise we’ll ever bring the product back, we will pass your comments on to our marketing team for their consideration.

It sounds like you do quite a bit of food prep and storing so you may want to think about our Ziploc® Brand Containers to help in the kitchen. With our new Ziploc® Brand VersaGlass Containers, you can go from the refrigerator to the microwave or oven (up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit) to the table. It’s like using your favorite ceramic dishes, only these have colorful, matching lids.

VersaGlass tempered glass containers are available at WalMart stores. For more information, visit our www.ziploc.com site.
