Questions about SC Johnson Products

From Grace about Who Photographs SC Johnson’s Architecture

Who takes the photos of all the SCJ architecture? - Grace

Hello Grace – Thanks for your question.

We have a number of photographers who help us capture the architectural beauty of the buildings at our headquarters facility in Racine, Wisconsin and at our other facilities. Additionally, photojournalists sometimes take pictures to accompany their stories.

We are thrilled to have worked with some renowned architects over the past 125+ years. Frank Lloyd Wright was contracted to design SC Johnson’s administration building in Racine, Wisconsin. Following the completion of the building in 1939, a Wright-designed research tower was added in 1950.

Some 60 years later, Fortaleza Hall, designed by Lord Norman Foster, opened its doors on the headquarters campus. It stands as a tribute to the late Chairman Emeritus Sam Johnson.

But these aren’t our only architectural gems. The company has invested in inspired architecture around the globe – like our innovative facility in Mijdrecht, The Netherlands. It was designed by H.A. Maaskant and Herman Senf.

Thank you for your interest in our architecture. Please contact us directly at 800-558-5252 if you have any additional questions.
