Hi Amanda, thanks for your note. We think you’re asking if SC Johnson is owned by another company. The answer is no – we are a privately held, family company that is owned and led by the Johnson family. We have been for 124 years!

If you’re asking if there are other companies that are affiliated with SC Johnson, the answer is yes. Over the years we have acquired or formed partnerships with a variety of different companies, including the Drackett company, through which we acquired the Windex® brand, and DowBrands, through which we acquired the Ziploc® and Scrubbing Bubbles® brands.

Most recently, in 2008 we made a variety of acquisitions including purchasing the Caldrea Company, maker of the popular Caldrea® and Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day® brands.
