From AntHater about Raid Ant Baits

Raid Ant Baits do not work! I threw my receipt away after opening the product. I wish I didn't because I would return them to Target! Several days after setting the baits, the ants march around, inside, and on top of the bait trap. There are more now. We followed the instructions and have moved on to a new product. I want a refund from Raid/S C Johnson. - AntHater

Ants are actually pretty interesting insects, and they have ways to ensure their colony stays fed. Namely, they lay down chemical trails that lead other ants to an identified food source.  

From what you’ve described, it sounds like the ants did indeed find the bait and were working to bring the “food” back to the colony. Once they started sharing the food with the others and the ingredients took affect, you’d see a significant reduction in ants within 7-10 days. It’s a slower, but effective process.
