Hi, Nick from SC. It sounds like you have an icky problem and we’re happy to say we can help. Our recommendation would be to try Raid® Ant & Roach Killer. This product, specifically designed for household use, comes out in a fine mist which would be ideal for the surface you’re trying to treat. It’ll kill spiders (including Black Widow and Brown Recluse spiders) on contact – and will then keep killing for up to four weeks!

While Raid MAX® Bug Barrier can be used to combat spiders, it is not intended to be sprayed upwards or in the air. Because of the dispensing tube and automatic trigger, the product comes out in a stream and is designed to be aimed downward. Spraying towards the ceiling could result in splash back and would likely cause excess product to drip or splash onto the area below. Given this, we think our Ant & Roach Killer is the ideal solution for you.
