Hey there, MB! You may already know this but SC Johnson started out as a parquet flooring business – so you came to the right place!

The methods for waxing floors 100 years ago are similar to the methods we use today – clean, wax, buff. And to answer your question about the types of products that were used, the answer is yes – some of them are still used today! For example, Johnson Paste Wax was introduced in 1888 and is still sold today. You can find this product in home improvement stores around the nation.
Of course the manufacturing of wood flooring has changed over the years, so the range of our products has evolved too, meets those various needs.
