Through 2024, SC Johnson has used less virgin plastic, incorporated more post-consumer recycled materials, and made more of our packaging reusable and recyclable compared to our 2018 baseline.

We’ve delivering progress across our brands:

• Over 99% of Windex^® PET bottles in North America are made from PCR resins.
• method^® laundry detergent bottles have been made from 100% PCR since 2021.
• We’ve rolled out over 730 Ecover^® in-store refill machines across Europe.
• Duck^® brand labels are perforated so they can be easily removed for bottle recycling.

We are poised to enter a new chapter in our decades-long work to scale up successful interventions and strategies to reduce the incidence and burden of vector-borne disease. Recently completed studies in Kenya have demonstrated the efficacy of our innovative spatial repellents, Mosquito Shield™ and Guardian™. We are now supporting the remaining research the World Health Organization requires for a policy recommendation for spatial repellents and ramping up manufacturing in disease-endemic areas. A pilot line went live in Kenya in January of 2024, followed by a high-speed line in October 2024 and another high-speed line to come in 2025.

Access to healthcare remains central to our mission, with the continued establishment of community health clinics across Africa and Asia significantly reducing the time required for families to seek care. These clinics and training programs certify community health workers, empowering women to provide frontline care while earning sustainable incomes.

SC Johnson continued its legacy of environmental responsibility by exceeding its carbon reduction targets. Since 2000, the company has cut greenhouse gas emissions by 71%, surpassing its 2025 goal. Renewable energy now accounts for 45% of global energy use, a testament to SC Johnson’s focus on sustainable operations.

Retail partnerships such as Amazon’s Ships in Product Packaging program are extending efforts to reduce excess shipping materials. Since joining this program in late 2023, SC Johnson has saved 58 metric tons of paper and four metric tons of plastic, underscoring its commitment to minimizing waste at every stage of the supply chain.

We continue to utilize our resources globally to unlock economic and educational opportunities in communities where access may be limited, but potential is boundless. We collaborate with local and global partners to support youth, inspire innovation and broaden access to STEM learning, especially for girls, women and minorities.

Partnerships like In2ScienceUK support young people from low-income backgrounds to access opportunities supporting STEM careers. Our longstanding relationship with Habitat for Humanity has included projects to build, repair or enhance homes for families in need in Racine, Wisconsin; Chicago, Illinois; Gaston County, North Carolina; Yokohama, Japan; and Hong Kong. The support we provide Teach for the Philippines enabled the training of 165 licensed and tenured teachers and 650 community members to advance literacy, math and life skills education for students.
