Here are FAQs to help you plan your visit...

No, all public tours at SC Johnson are free. Reservations are required and can be made by clicking here. The Lily Pad gift shop is open in conjunction with all tours and features unique SC Johnson memorabilia and brand gift merchandise, as well as Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired items available for purchase.

All SC Johnson tours begin at The Golden Rondelle Theater, at 1525 Howe Street, Racine, Wisconsin. Tour check-in is in the lobby.

All Wingspread tours begin at The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, 33 East Four Mile Rd., Racine, Wisconsin. See further Wingspread FAQs below.

To ensure that we deliver a rich experience to each guest, we limit tour groups to approximately 20 people. If you have a large group or special needs, please contact us directly at Rondelle@scj.com.

Any items found during or after tours are turned in at The Golden Rondelle Theater lobby. Please call us directly at 262-260-2154 to inquire about your item.

Questions about Tour Rules

To protect and preserve the buildings, artifacts, designs and objects you'll see on the tour, food and drink are prohibited. However, water fountains are available in Fortaleza Hall and The Golden Rondelle.

SC Johnson is committed to maintaining a safe and healthful work environment for all employees and everyone who visits our campus. The company's No Weapons policy prohibits weapons of any type, including concealed weapons, from its premises.

Photographs of the exterior for personal use are permitted, including sharing on your social media accounts. You can follow and share your tour experiences and photos with SC Johnson on Twitter at @VisitSCJ or Instagram at @visit_SCJ.

However, photography and video of interior spaces are prohibited during tours. If you're a member of the media, please contact us at 262-260-2440 for special arrangements.

Questions about Preparing for Your Tour

Guests should be comfortable standing, walking and climbing stairs, and tours include both indoor and outdoor spaces. Tours are geared toward adults, but children are allowed.

Tours run rain or shine and include outdoor spaces. Walking shoes and comfortable weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.

Yes, bathrooms are available in Fortaleza Hall.

Questions about Accessibility

We try to make accommodations for our guests. If you have a special need, please contact us 262-260-2154 or email Rondelle@scj.com prior to your visit. Our tours include indoor and outdoor spaces and guests should be comfortable standing, walking and climbing stairs. Wheelchair-accessible elevators are available in Fortaleza Hall. The Golden Rondelle Theatre and Fortaleza Hall venues are walker and wheelchair accessible and the main floor of the Great Workroom is accessible via ramp. Stairs are required to reach the upper levels of the Administration Building. The Research Tower is accessible only via stairs.

For the hearing impaired, typed tour scripts are available in English for use during the tour. Tour guides and hearing-impaired guests will receive writing pads and pencils to ask and answer questions upon request. Hearing impaired guests are able to bring a sign language interpreter on the tour. Hearing aid compatible devices are available upon request to those viewing films. Certified service animals and white canes for the visually impaired are permitted on tour. 

We ask that guests remain with their tour at all times, but if you have an issue during the tour, please speak with your tour guide immediately.

Questions about Bringing Kids on the Tour

The tours are geared toward adults. Parents should note that tours include indoor and outdoor spaces and there are portions of the tour where you’ll be standing or climbing stairs. Pushchairs are allowed on campus and on the tours, which are indoors and outdoors. However, please note that there are stairs throughout the tours and strollers may not be used inside The Gallery.

From southbound I-94 and northbound I-94: Take I-94 exit 333 heading east on Highway 20 (Washington Avenue) for approximately eight miles, veer to the right when Highway 20 splits off at 14th Street, go over the railroad tracks through the intersection of 14th Street and Highway 32. The Golden Rondelle Theatre is one block ahead on the right.

Questions about the Gift Shop

Yes! The Lily Pad gift shop is open in conjunction with all tours and features unique SC Johnson memorabilia and brand gift merchandise, as well as Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired items available for purchase.

The Lily Pad accepts cash or credit cards but cannot accept personal cheques.

No, there is no public cash machine available for use.

No, the company store is a benefit for SC Johnson employees and retirees only. You can, however, visit The Lily Pad gift shop, which is open in conjunction with all tours. The gift shop features unique SC Johnson memorabilia and brand gift merchandise, as well as Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired items available for purchase.

All tours begin at Wingspread, located at 33 East Four Mile Road, Racine, Wisconsin, 53402. Concierge staff will greet you upon your arrival. Wingspread is about 5 miles north of SC Johnson. 

Yes, photography is allowed on the Wingspread tour. 

From SC Johnson, turn right onto 14th Street and follow it east until it ends at Main Street. Turn left and take Main Street north until it ends at 4 Mile Road. Turn right and take 4 Mile Road east to 33 East Four Mile Road. Wingspread will be on the right (south) side of 4 Mile Road. 

Absolutely! As you drive the five miles north, you will see beautiful lake views and go through downtown Racine. Visit realracine.com and racinedowntown.com for information about where to dine and what to visit. You can also pick up a map at The Golden Rondelle before you depart for Wingspread.
