For more than 80 years, SC Johnson has given five percent of all pretax profits to charities, including medical charities in its communities.
By donating to hospitals, SC Johnson operations around the world help support local families in times of need.
We all know how hard it can be to see a loved one struggle with their health. The hospital is a difficult place for many people, particularly those receiving treatment and the families who love them. And when the patient is a child, it can be especially tough for everyone involved.
For example, in 2017, SC Johnson Italy donated 60,000 Euros to OBM Onlus, a nonprofit associated with the Vittore Buzzi Children’s Hospital in Milan. The donation helped create a special space next to the hospital where families who come from outside the region can stay during their children’s treatment. It also supports counseling during hospitalisation.
As explained in our corporate principles, , we believe in contributing to the well-being of the communities where we operate by helping with projects that enhance quality of life. These and other philanthropic contributions made around the world are an important way SC Johnson lives up to that belief, year after year.
Since 1937, the company has given five percent of all pretax profits to charities.
